INDEPENDANT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY

Solar Panel Site Surveyor Needed

We are looking for self-employed, independent contractors who have existing businesses and want to supplement their income.


 We need a solar site surveyors to take measurements, photos, and aerial photos of residential properties for the solar panel business.


This is an ideal opportunity for self-employed, independent contractors who have existing businesses and want to supplement their income.


The field notes you take are used by our in-house engineers to provide the electrical and/or structural details for proposed solar panel systems.


--- however, you MUST be able to GO to the sites to take measurements and pictures, this is NOT a remote or telecommuting job --

Surveyors take accurate measurements and pictures inside and out of our customer's residential properties of necessary electrical panels, meters, documents, obstructions, roof framing, and general structural property.


Surveyors also assess the roof framing for structural integrity, condition, or existing damage. Surveyors provide drawings or hand sketches showing the existing roof framing and/or proposed conduit paths.


    -- MUST have --

Basic knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems

Basic knowledge or experience with roof framing, primarily rafters and trusses

Ability to read and understand "blueprints", solar plans, and wiring diagrams.

Excellent computer skills including file and photo transfers and scanning

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

Must be able to take accurate measurements

Must be able to draw or hand-sketch framing and dimensions while onsite

High resolution cell phone camera and/or hand held camera.

Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder

Must be comfortable in tight spaces (attic, basements, crawlspaces, etc.)


    -- highly desirable --

At least 2 years experience using AutoCAD

High-quality camera drone and valid UAS Part 107 license


We will supply TRAINING and EQUIPMENT for the right person -- IF you have the proper past experience, skills, or education, and including at least 2 years experience with AutoCAD .
